The Early Childhood Unit (ECU) works to
sustain and improve the quality of services for young children
through direct work with children’s services and settings, and
through its national networks.
ECU’s mission is to promote young children’s
well-being, learning and development, and to remove barriers to
these by providing support for the planning and provision of
services for young children and their families.
