Benefits
When it comes to working for a leading
voluntary sector employer, you'll find NCB offers a positive range
of benefits for people who are passionate about putting children
and young people first.
Family-friendly and work-life balance
policies
NCB regularly reviews its personnel policies
to ensure they reflect the changing lifestyle patterns of our staff
with family or other commitments:
- negotiable working hours for many of our posts
- generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days per year (pro rata
for part-time staff)
- three fixed 'extra statutory' days holiday to be taken at
Christmas in addition to statutory Bank Holidays
Healthy organisation initiatives
As part of our
commitment to becoming a healthy organisation we currently
offer:
- corporate membership at a local sports centre, which entitles
staff to free access to gym equipment and most classes
- visiting homeopath and chair masseur
Pension scheme
All staff have the opportunity to join our final salary pension
scheme. Alternatively, staff may join a personal pension scheme of
their choice to which NCB will contribute.
Training and development
We are keen that our staff continue to develop their skills and
provide training through an in-house training programme, external
courses and by supporting long-term study.
Equal opportunities
We are committed to
promoting equality of opportunity. This is reflected in our
employment practices, both in terms of the recruitment process and
also within our personnel policies and procedures. Staff
recruitment is carried out by a panel and is based on the selection
criteria designed individually for each post.
